Grogans Machinery TTT Three Phase Equitation 2026
Another unforgettable weekend of 3PE, community spirit and teamworkWhat a weekend it has been at the Grogans Machinery TTT Three Phase Equitation 2026! While entries may have been lower than anticipated this year, what the event lacked in numbers it more than made up for in atmosphere, community spirit, sportsmanship and quality competition.
The Bendigo & District Family Equestrian Group (BDFEG) committee and volunteers once again poured countless hours into delivering a weekend that celebrated not only the sport of Three Phase Equitation but also the wonderful community that surrounds it. From the moment competitors arrived at Elmore Equestrian Park there was a real sense of excitement and appreciation to simply be together enjoying horses, friends and competition.
As organisers, weekends like this always begin many months earlier with planning meetings, sponsor discussions, course preparation, volunteer rosters and countless small jobs that somehow become big jobs. Like many equestrian events across Victoria at the moment, entries were lower than expected and our committee faced some difficult decisions in the lead-up. However, once the event commenced, competitors and supporters showed exactly why events like TTT remain so important.
Firstly, we would like to sincerely thank our naming rights sponsor, Grogans Machinery. Grogans Machinery, a family-run Bendigo business servicing much of southern Australia, once again stepped up to support our event and help make the weekend possible. Their ongoing support of our club and event has been invaluable.
We would also like to acknowledge and thank our wonderful sponsors: CEPA Farm Supplies Bendigo, Just Riding Club, Loam Wines, Bendigo Timber, ASQ Garden & Landscaping, Galloping Goop, CAPALL, Horseland Bendigo, JNK, OTT and Equissage Therapy Alison Marriage. Their generosity enabled us to offer fantastic prizes and continue providing opportunities like this for our competitors.
Saturday brought fantastic competition and beautiful weather as riders tackled the 3PE phases throughout the day. Spectators gathered around Arena 1 during the afternoon to watch the higher grades compete while enjoying tastings from Loam Wines. It created the perfect atmosphere with horses, friends and local wine all coming together.
One of the highlights of Saturday afternoon was our much-loved Dog Agility Competition. Sponsored by Galloping Goop and Grogans Machinery, prizes were awarded across the small, medium and large dog categories. As always, the dogs delivered plenty of laughs, unique obstacle approaches and entertainment for everyone watching.
Saturday evening saw competitors, volunteers and sponsors gather for a roast dinner supplied by On The Go Catering. With a warming campfire burning nearby and stories being shared among old friends and new acquaintances, it was another reminder that TTT is about far more than ribbons and results. The social side of these events and the community connections they create are every bit as important as the competition itself.
While Sunday started out very wet, we did not let the rain dampen our spirits. The second Level 4 division, along with Levels 5 and 3, all proved highly competitive. At the conclusion of the weekend BDFEG proved too hard to beat, with our two teams placing first and second overall in the Top Teams Trophy standings. We were also proud to offer special awards for Pinto, OTT and HERO competitors.
Events like this simply do not happen without volunteers and we are incredibly grateful to every person who contributed. Competitors completed helper duties throughout the weekend and many volunteers stepped up above and beyond what was asked. From office duties and arena setup to scoring, marshalling, obstacle preparation and pack up, every contribution mattered.
We would also like to thank our photographers Grain & Mane and Rathenau Photography for capturing the weekend and preserving so many special moments for competitors.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to our wonderful judging team whose generosity and expertise helped make the weekend possible. Our judges Kim Howard, who also assisted with coordinating the judging team, Sally Mizzi who stepped in at the last minute to save the day, along with Jennifer McKeown, Kerrie Taylor, Gwyn Lindsay and Jenee Edwards were all incredibly generous in giving up their weekend and sharing their knowledge and experience with competitors. We would also like to thank our HRCAV representative Fiona Williams for all her help, guidance and support throughout the planning process and over the event weekend itself.
A huge thank you must go to the BDFEG committee and members who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes preparing for this event. The amount of work required to host TTT is enormous and it truly takes a village to make it happen.
Special mention must go to Sandra Grinton and Kate Bentley who were instrumental in obstacle course design and setup, helping create the courses competitors enjoyed across the weekend. Lucy Purcell, Fran Turner (along with horse husband John Turner), Jody Pickering and Trista Hoyland all contributed more hours than could possibly be counted in the lead-up and throughout the event. We would also like to thank Tony Blanchard, Ann Black and Owen Duffy who generously transported equipment to and from the venue to help make the weekend possible. Their efforts, along with the contributions of many other members and volunteers, were a huge part of the success of Grogans Machinery TTT Three Phase Equitation 2026.
Finally, thank you to every rider, helper, spectator, sponsor and supporter who attended Grogans Machinery TTT Three Phase Equitation 2026. By entering and supporting the event you helped ensure another successful weekend of Three Phase Equitation and demonstrated once again what makes the HRCAV community so special.
We hope everyone travelled home safely, made wonderful memories and left already looking forward to the next TTT adventure.
