New to our club and HRCAV?

If you are looking to join our club head to the contact us tab and contact our secretary

So what happens after you join our club and the HRCAV?

1. You will be added to the private face book page. Most of the club information will be found in this page such as club events and rallies. Feel free to ask any questions about the club or HRCAV on this page! No question is a dumb question!

2. Our club secretary will order and receive your first lot of cards. There is a membership card and a card for each discipline (dressage, showjumping, combined training, horse trials, navigation and equitation). Your membership card is stamped and signed by the club secretary. While many events are now cardless,  and often not required, it is important that the membership card is kept up to date as you rejoin each year. You have 1 membership card and cards for each of your horses, that is each horse has their own dressage cardetc. If you require additional cards contact HRCAV directly. The cards allow you to record your results and any points you acquire from competitions.

3. If you choose to compete in any HRCAV discipline you must be assessed. It is up to you to contact an assessor. A full list can be found on the HRCAV website. Your level is recorded on each of your cards and also sent into HRCAV. All your horses and grading levels are recorded on the HRCAV website. HRCAV will provide you with a login details.

You do not need to be assessed to attend rallies

4. Before you head out to your first competition you will need a uniform. The BDFEG uniform is a navy top (polo/jumper/vest) with our club logo (see about us page)and light coloured jodhpurs for competition. The secretary may have club patches that you can attach or head to Heavenly Threads Embroidery (0417 107 136) or on face book and they can sort you out with tops and saddle cloths.

5. Our club meetings happen once a month. Usually dinner at a local pub and great way to meet others and contribute to the club. Advertised on our FB page

6. Rallies are organised by a number of members and are generally the first Saturday of the month. We try to accommodate the members needs .... we are always open to suggestions! You do not need club uniform or be assessed to attend a rally. You will be asked your level of riding when riders are placed in groups within lessons.

You must pay for your lesson (price will be advertised) to secure your spot! If you cannot attend, and do not find a replacement rider, you still have to pay (only exception is if you provide a vet/medical certificate). All funds collected go directly to the instructor, unless we have a facility fee to pay.

7. We do run several events each year and do require members to volunteer some of their time. We ask all members to volunteer a minimum of 2 hours per year.  Profits from our events assist us with the purchase of excellent horse riding equipment! Many hands make light work
